markusjaisphoto.com is the website of Markus Jais.

I am a software developer based in Germany.
In my free time I spend a lot of time photographing nature and sometimes other subjects.
My main interests are nature photography, digital photography, cameras, lenses, Photoshop and Lightroom. I am also very interesting in ecology, evolution and conservation, particularly of raptors (birds of prey) and carnivores like Leopards or Wolves.

People often ask my about my equipment. So here is what I currently use:

Canon EOS 7D
Canon EOS 1DX

Lenses (all Canon)
EF 4/17-40L
EF 2.8/24-70L II

EF 2.8/100L IS Macro
EF 3.5/180L Macro
EF 4/300L IS

For my digital darkroom, I use Adobe Lightroom 5 and Adobe Photoshop CC. Currently I run them on a Windows 8 64 bit machine, but I hope that someday Adobe will make Lightroom and Photoshop available for Linux.
